They Want to Love You

It’s easy in sales to fall into a bit of a battle-worn mindset. Salespeople face rejection, get stood-up, are misunderstood, get taken advantage of, are shopped, make the sale and then don’t get paid—or get paid way beyond terms. It’s amazing that more individuals in sales don’t suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder. Or maybe we do.

Despite the battle, keep this in mind: The people who buy from you actually want to fall in love with you and your brand. Customer experience is everything, every time.

No one says yes to you and then secretly hopes you’ll disappoint them and fail miserably. Their job, status and emotions are on the line, too.

It’s your job to give them lots of reasons to fall head over heels in love with you, your company, your job and what you deliver for them. Yes, that’s your job.

The feeling your customer has when you have delivered your promises in the end is your differentiating advantage.

They want to love you. It’s your job to make sure that they do!
